Check out how my day job helps my blogging at Hollaback Health!
It’s the start of another beautiful (100+degree) month! Sadly, I’ve had to run in doors because 95 degrees is not perfect running weather. However, I’ll put in my time at the gym if it means summer produce is coming my way! Last month was all about the greens- like kale, bok choy, and leeks. However June seems to be all about the fruit.
According to This Food Thing here is what’s in season in June,
- Apricots
- Blueberries
- Cantaloupe
- Cherries
- Corn
- Lettuce
- Peaches
- Strawberries
- Watermelon
It’s totally a fruit overload! Nothing wrong with that (Full Disclosure: I’ve eaten eleven peaches since Saturday).
Eating in season is the way to go. It’s cheaper and tastes better. Also, it’s more environmentally friendly if you care about that kind of thing. So grill some corn on the cob…

Thank you, Cooking Light!
or have a seed spitting contest with watermelon. It’s that kind of month!

I was seriously going to Google in-season produce and look up what I should look out for. Thanks for saving me a step!!!

I LOVE CORN. In case you didn’t know. And lots of those other things on the list. Does it change for July?
